Hi, I'm Levi
Founder, engineer, designer, and support team
I'm a working-class product developer, designer, and cartoonist based in Tennessee. I've been building for macOS and iOS for over 10 years, and for the web for over 20 years.
Before Smmall Cloud, I was co-founder of startups like Droplr, Riskalyze, and I built iOS and macOS apps. These days, I run Smmall, a small incubator for sustainable products, and draw comics at Humanities Studio.
Why I built Smmall Cloud
File sharing platforms today have lost the plot. I wrote about this in the article They Ruined File-Sharing, Didn't They.
With Smmall Cloud, there are no investors or board members to appease. No incentive to sell your data or show you ads. It's 100% customer-funded, which means my only job is to build something you actually want to use.
In an age of algorithms, VC funds, and bots, I'm building software for a more human web. Every feature is designed with intention, every pixel is placed with care, and every support email is answered by me personally.
